In this meetup we will have representatives from 3 different blockchain companies based in Singapore.

今回のミートアップでシンガポールから三つのブロックチェーン会社の代表が集まっています。

1. Zilliqa

Zilliqa ( https://www.zilliqa.com/ ) is a new public blockchain platform for high-throughput applications. It brings the theory of sharding to practice with its novel protocol that increases transaction rates as its network expands. The latest experimental results demonstrate a throughput of 2,488 transactions per second, which is over 200 times higher than that of today's popular blockchains. The platform is tailored towards enabling high-throughput data-driven decentralized apps, designed to meet the scaling requirements of applications in areas such as digital marketing, payments, shared economy and rights management.

Xinshu is a scientist and practitioner in building secure systems, ranging from blockchains to web browsers and applications. He was a technical lead for several national cybersecurity projects. The outcome of his research has been published at top international conferences. More recently, he led the research and development of Anquan’s proprietary scalable and secure blockchain, deployed for financial and ecommerce applications. He is currently leading the Zilliqa team for developing a new public blockchain Zilliqa for high-throughput applications. Xinshu holds a PhD from the National University of Singapore.

「Zilliqa」はシンガポール国立大学から始まったチームで、現在は公開型ブロックチェーンの中で一番早いブロックチェーンです。「Zilliqa」はテストネットにおいて3,600のノード(接続ポイント)でクレジットカード会社の通常状態の平均取引件数に匹敵する2,488 tps (取引/秒)を達成している。それだけでなく、10,000のノードがあるとしたら、「Zilliqa」はクレジットカード会社より低い手数料で取引を処理できると見込まれている。

2. Digix

DigixGlobal (https://digix.global (https://digix.global/)) is an asset tokenization company built on Ethereum’s blockchain technology. We leverage the technology’s transparency, audibility, transactional ledger utility to build a global network of asset-backed tokens with the Ethereum ERC20 standard.

Shaun, an alumni of Singapore Management University, joined the founding team as a co-founder of DigixGlobal and is also the founder and lead organizer for Ethereum Singapore meetup group - the largest of its kind in Asia with almost 4,200 members. Having been exposed to blockchain technology since its early days, he also got involved in writing a paper for the MTI Smart Nation research on blockchain technology back in 2015.

「Digix」とは、Ethereumのブロックチェーンプラットフォームを利用し、現実の金（Gold）をトークンとすることで金の情報を管理するサービスです。

3. Bluzelle

Bluzelle fills a key gap in the blockchain ecosystem. It is a decentralized database for blockchain applications to manage and store their data. Bluzelle's technology has been used by MUFG, MSIG, HSBC and more.

Speaker: Pavel Bains, CEO/Co-founder

Pavel has over 15 years experience in operational management, digital technology and finance. An NCAA honor roll student-athlete from UCLA, Pavel also was the co-founder of Storypanda, a digital book plaGorm that published criDcally acclaimed titles by DreamWorks, Warner Bros, Peanuts and more. Pavel was in GM and CFO roles for video game studios, including looking after 7 Disney studios across four continents and 350 people and $150M budgets.

「Bluzelle」はdAppsのための分散型でオンデマンドの、拡散型データベースサービスです。「Bluzelle」は必要性を満たして、分散型インターネットを完成させるために他のコンポーネントと補い合うことができます。「Bluzelle」のテクノロジーは三菱東京UFJ銀行、香港上海銀行などに使われています。
